Wondered about pulling together some of the tips that people share that may be of use to others preparing to start chemotherapy!

Don't mind u asking at all! I had surgery last March then when I had recovered I had three months of chemo and oxiplatatin tabs to make sure that it was all gone! I could've just had 6 months of tabs but that took me up to Christmas and at the time it seemed a very long time whereas I could have the 3 months intense throwing everything at it to make sure it was all gone! Tough to go thro and I had times when I felt I couldn't do anymore but I did it and I'm glad I did. I was able to enjoy Christmas and now I'm nearly back at work full time! Xx
Is it a pill or do you get them through an infusion ?
Ask the staff or your Gp to write it down for you and we can get you some information on it .

I agree with Katz51 . You should have a form or a letter from the hospital with your treatment plan on it . It will tell you what chemo you are on . I had what chemo I was going to be on and all the possible side effects which I had to sign . Nelly
