I'd never heard of first bite syndrome.
It happened to me on my 2nd Biscuit once home. Really sharp pain for a few seconds
Yes Daisyandcarol it’s a funny one isn’t it and takes you by surprise although I only ever got it for the first couple of days. They often don’t mention it as a side effect which is why reading things like this can be reassuring that it’s normal.

Kareno62. It was my first oxaliplatin today so it was very reassuring to read it happens x
Can I ask why you shouldnt touch the pills?
I think it’s to do with the toxic nature of the tablets . Then you may touch someone else or another part of your body . All chemicals I guess !
Although saying that my mum handled them for two years and I don’t think we knew this piece of information back then !

Iv never had that it was my first oxaliplatin last week the side effects iv had is loose bowels and my food doesn't taste the same I fancy sweet things and fruit but makes dioreah worse with me
