July 2021 Catch up thread !

It’s incredible seaspirit44 there is workmen redoing pipes in my mum’s street . They were literally down holes with the sun beating down on them ! I offered water , which they had but told them if it’s bad today I would put a parasol up ! Their faces were just drenched in sweat ! They said just to pop it up for them to have a sleep at lunchtime ! 
They work so hard and have only shown kindness right through this week !

I do however enjoy sitting in the garden in the evenings . That’s been great !

Hi Everyone ,

Headed out on our staycation with the gang in toe !

Lot of traffic even in Scotland !

I had arranged for a carpet to be replaced as too many wee boys coming in from bonfires over the years had left their marks !!  However got a wee phone call from the company saying it had all gone well apart from one detail ! A mix up had occurred and the wrong colour installed ! One of life’s little issues that has solutions . I don’t sweat the small stuff so we laughed and I said to let me have a look at it and if it’s not clashing like mad we can live with it ! 
Anyway decided to keep it . It’s pushed me into a change and that can be a good thing too! It been very well installed !

Nice day to send granny out to sea on the kayak I think !

I had a gastroscopy yesterday. It went well.but the findings worried me I have 50 plus polyps, some of them big, and the surgeon said he had never seen so many. I also,have a hiatus hernia, which explains my reflux. Glad to have the explanation . The probable cause of the polyps is the PPI that I take.He took 6biopsies, results in 2 weeks. He is referring me to a gastric expert for advice. I dread to think of the further horrors that await me, but am thankful that he is so thorough, and that I am being looked after so well. 
My CT scan showed no recurrence of either cancer, so I am very thankful for that. Worrying 2 weeks ahead.

Good news on the no recurrence aspect but can see why 50 polyps gave you a fright . I have had to a start PPI a few months ago mainly due to ibuprofen. I did not know this could happen . Had a quick look at some research and as you rightly said it seems to be a possibility. 
Hope you get a good solution soon . You treat one aspect and it impacts on another . A vicious circle for sure !

But it must have given you a fright !

Still hanging out on my staycation. Half the gang has returned home and frequent text are coming through on the complexities of the washing machine . Strange given their technical abilities in otherreas but it’s a great life skill now mastered !.

There is  also a big search going on for the new Levi jeans . I have a horrible feeling I have mixed them up and added them to a charity bag ! 

Maybe just sit on that piece of information for a little while !
