I have a big week this week, CT scan, chemo and consultation with oncologist. I'm hoping that my 3 month scans will show no sign of anything on my brain having had 2 ops last year. Also expecting that liver and lung tumours will have shrunk. Am feeling very well so hopeful for positive outcomes!
Hoping for good news for you too ! So glad you are feeling good !
Three appointments in one week !!

Everything crossed for some good news x
Saw my consultant this morning, lungs and liver are stable which is good. Need to have an MRI on my brain as unsure whether scar tissue or from previous surgery or something else, no current symptoms so hoping nothing but scar tissue. Being unsure is always uncomfortable and anxiety causing.
Great news on the lungs and liver and given you have had surgery it is reasonable to consider scar tissue . Hopefully more a case of ruling out! It’s a rotten process to clarify things and more waiting too! Really wish there was a fast track system to do all this by now .
Did they give you a timescale?
Thinking of you and holding out for it to be clarified in a good direction .

Thanks Court, should have MRI through within 2 weeks hopefully. As you said its a case of ruling out what it might be. My oncologist is going to get my brain surgeon to cast his eyes over the scan to
I would think the brain surgeon would be more confident in analysing it to be fair ! I guess it’s not their specialty and you could only expect them to err on the side of caution . Despite it being the right thing to do clinically and they sound a good team it is a rotten process . But at least they are moving fast and you will hopefully be able to relax after that for a while !
Still holding out for scar tissue ! I have seen my mothers ct scans . Oh dear me , I think they must give them to trainee radiologist to give them a complete surprise . The oddest shape liver that looks as though it has drifted a bit . Nothing else looks as though it’s the correct shape or place either !

What a great physical metaphor, standing up without toppling over in the face of adversity!
I thought so too !
Did I mention my mum is in the process of taking part in some research of long term survivors of a stage 4 diagnosis. They are looking at her colon , previous tumour samples , bloods etc and it seems to be focusing on finding out if her body processed the cancer like an infection and shut it down ! Anyway it is underway and in true mum style she enjoyed a good chat with the research team and told them to send the details to me to work out the sample permissions etc !
It’s encouraging and I hope it’s a pipeline that produces some benefit !
