Hello, I went into hospital on Thursday last week. I had radio frequency ablation. I had a general anesthesetic . I came out yesterday with a small plaster over the site where the needle went in. Can’t mix with anyone for a couple of days, can feel flu like while tumour dies. I just feel tired. I will have a scan in a months time. The staff at UCLH in London were amazing. A big thank you to them. They said I will have a close eye kept on me. Should make a recovery after 1 to 3 weeks. Praying this works. This was done on my liver.
Excellent news Nelly1955 . So pleased to hear you are home and recovering . My mum’s oncologist said the stats coming through with radio frequency ablation are really encouraging.
Well done. I know this was tough but your safely through and hopefully that will be the end of it .
Take care and rest ,

Hi Court, thank you. I’m feeling a bit unwell as the day has gone on. I was told it was possibly to get flu like symptoms. I haven’t got a temperature just tired and a bit of discomfort. I was talking to a nurse who use to work in oncology and she said she hadn’t come across anyone who had had this treatment. I don’t think it’s new. I’m glad that there is good news on this treatment. Have a good bank holiday weekend Nelly
