Been in hospital

Was admitted to hosp Thursday bowel was playing up Wednesday had vomiting diarrhoea and severe dehydration rushed into hosp and told blood pressure was 155 serious high discovered I had a superbug in bowel and pneumonia on 13 tablets a day for a week home now but can’t eat feel sick all time got anti sickness tablets which help a bit im

pure exhausted is this normal with pneumonia I can’t even make breakfast without feeling exhausted im 43 quite energetic but this has knocked me lost alit of weight in four days still

have diarrhoea drinking as much as I can anyone any ideas what I can eat no meat as doctor said stomach not able to digest alit have been living on soup

    So sorry to hear how ill you’re feeling. I’m no expert but I believe it’s quite normal to feel completely exhausted with pneumonia, plus you’ve had diarrhoea and vomiting which in itself is exhausting and your body is probably suffering from lack of nutrients on top of a very worrying time for you.


    I’d speak to your GP for some advice.

    You could ask for a dietitian to be involved.

    The helpline staff might be able to help also . 
    I had noticed you were quite but had hoped you were just having a bit of fun somewhere so sad to see what you have been through .

  • Do I ring the helpline staff or if there a chat room couldn’t believe I had pneumonia thought it was my bowel I had while high. Blood pressure was asleep with tablets for a day and drip up for three days just dint no what else apart from soup I could try on 13 tablets a day which makes me nausea
