Hi everyone. I posted in here a few months back about my rectal cancer diagnosis... After 12 weeks of ups and downs, I powered through the 4 cycles of Capox chemo and have just had the results from my CT scan & MRI scan... The tumour has shrank significantly, with my oncologist describing it as a ‘very impressive response.’ My surgeon has also phoned me to confirm that she is happy to offer me surgery in May. I’ll be meeting her next week. I feel as though I am on the way now and I’ve been told that there will be no more further treatment after surgery. My surgeon believes she will be able to get it all out! I just wanted to post something positive on here and send all my best wishes to others out there. I’ve remained positive throughout, and it feels great to be back out running and exercising. I have had no nasty side effects and feel fantastic in myself and my health. It also helps that the symptoms before diagnosis with bleeding, mucus and urgency to use the bathroom have gone!

Thank you so much @Rose2020 I’ve still a way to go in terms of surgery, but it’s the good news that the professionals give us which fills us with hope. The sun is shining, and we all deserve to enjoy it. I will keep you posted. Thank you and sending you lots of positivity and best wishes x
Dear Adam,
Good to know about your positive experience. A close friend of mine has been diagnosed with colon cancer few days ago. She is British, but working in the middle east where she is currently present. She needs a consultancy from an oncologist in England or actually London to help her in taking hard treatment decisions.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
