Hi everyone, my husband is getting horrible sickness and actual vomiting from chemo. He needs to take chemo tablets and can’t face his anti sickness tablets. Has anyone got any hits or tips to manage the nausea? Thanks Blush

Sorry, pressed enter !  Ginger is a great anti sickness method. Ginger beer, ginger biscuits, ginger tea. See if they help, it has worked for my mother.

  • Hi

We used ginger too and if he is really struggling his team would be able to help . We should have spoken up sooner as my mum dehydrated and it caused issues . You could phone the unit or his GP for assistance as they might be able to change his anti sickness meds  or review his dose . But don’t struggle on if he needs more intervention.
Is he still able to keep his fluids up ?

You could also chat it through with our helpline staff 0808 808 0000 as the Macmillan nurses have a lot of experience in this area .

    Take care ,
