Some hopeful news

Just wanted to update, my husband had his call with his Oncologist as he's had 8 rounds of folfoxiri and Avastin, and just had his scan, should have been after 6 cycles but delayed due to Covid.

Best news we could ask for as he was very tumour laden in his liver, peritoneum, lots of lymphs and the primary bowel. Most liver tumours have shrunk to almost half, primary barely visible as are the peri mets. Still lots to treat so to continue to cycle 12 and then taking out Oxiplatin and Irinotecan, scan after 14 cycles and see what's happening. CEA is a big tumour marker for my husband was 12,315 at the start of chemo, last cycle 876, so still high but a very good decrease too and a strong indicator.

Still inoperable and so palliative but she didn't say never this time, she said we never know how anyone can respond. Thank goodness so far he's a good responder.

Side effects have been minimal, so hoping for the best as always, love Frances xxx
