I am two weeks post surgery with part of sigmoid and rectum removed. I am having a nightmare with pooing.
Sometimes pellets, normal or loose.
Sometimes going every half an hour.
Sometimes don’t know if it’s a poo or a gas.
My surgeon says it’s totally normal and it will settle down so I just want to know how people have coped with these daily changes.
Any advice on how to get them to settle a bit more quickly!
Sorry for TMI.
We have one bathroom In our house for a family of four and it’s starting to stress me out. I’ve dealt with IBS for 20 years and thought it would be just the same. But it’s not.
I hear ya!
Especially when you are afraid to osss wind just in case!
Mine DID calm down a bit post surgery / pre chemo but is now unpredictable again because of the chemo. (Though that’s usually not too long after eating so I can sort of time it now!)
Hopefully it should start to calm down a bit for you
Suzy
