On 31st October 2020 we were given the news that my husband at 37 years old has bowel cancer! He has had chemotherapy for the past 3 months oxalaplatin, irinotecan and 5fu. Last week he had he's ct an today we got the news that he's tumor has shrunk from 24mm to 15mm and he can now have surgery to remove the tumor in a few weeks. We are so happy and so grateful to he's fantastic medical team
Hi Court. How lovely of you to message thank you. Surgery went brilliant he had laprascopic left hemicolectomy he is in a lot of pain but has morphine which is helping. Unfortunately our hospital is still not allowing visitors so I'm not able to see him which is upsetting thank god for video calls. Do you know how long it takes for the results of the surgery roughly? Xx
Oh that is fantastic news and I really hope they get on top of the pain quickly. Such a great outcome . Bet the surgeon is just delighted with the outcome too!
It is distressing to not get in to visit but you are right technology really does help .
I am thinking of you as I know this will have been a very draining day for you too .
But it’s a great day , he is cancer free .
Sleep well ,
Court
