Delighted to arrive in March ! What a stunning day . Started foggy and the green keeper was making an early start !
Hoping the better weather is a good boost to all those dealing with neuropathy during treatment .
Gemmary that was great walking so much . Well done ! I know how exhausted you have been over the last year so a fantastic accomplishment.
My washing is out the back too!
Take care ,

Certainly no washing out today, 0℃ again and very foggy. Shame as I'd got used to it being warmer!!! Taking it easy today, doing bits n bobs, can't settle. GP rang to say was going to check respiratory referral, which is good. Think the breathing is the main thing holding me back now. Unfortunately it seems in my area the numbers are (relatively) going up, particularly in the over 60 groups. Perhaps they think they are now invincible after a jab, who knows, but it doesn't bode well.
Stay safe all
Well I made it out for a walk last night . It was beautiful, not too cold and had a good chat with my friend .
Just needed the connection last night .
Noticing quite a change with mum’s new meds . No energy whatsoever. But she needs to stay on them .
So rehab it is . Slowly building her tolerance to exercise back up . Spoke to my sister so we will do our best .
Hope you are all doing ok . Is anybody getting their second vaccine ?

court sorry to hear about your mums new meds making her tired, not good I feel, as my new meds are doing the same thing. Although apparently once I get used to them, this should ease, so perhaps the same for your mum?
Good you had a 'productive ' walk, makes a huge difference. I too had to get out yesterday, and tried yet another new med to see if it helped with the breathing, which it might have.... early days with it.
6 month phone checkup went well, collectoral consultant this time, and she was very good, and as thorough as a phone call can be. Made it seem there is life after cancer! Then you go away uplifted and keep seeing ads for cancer, and covid, and you dip again. Oh well!
Take care all.
Morning all. Well after a cracking day on Sunday it’s been cold and overcast here. However we look to have a glimmer of sunshine today so I’m going to get out for a walk once the washers finished. Went for a blood test this morning and she asked me if I’d had much to drink? I immediately felt guilty about the couple of glasses of wine I’d had last night then realised she was talking about today as she couldn’t get anything out! I’d only had a cup of tea but it had obviously landed in my right arm as she found a nice juicy vein there and got what she wanted!
Had my first jab 3 weeks ago which will be reassuring for when I’m eventually able to go back to visit my parents. Feeling quite excited about all the bulbs that are popping up in the garden - as we’ve only been here 6 months it’s a nice surprise as it’s fair to say that the previous owners weren’t keen gardeners - just glad that the snake that I found in a large bush last Sunday turned out to be rubber!
Hope everyone’s doing ok
Take care

Hi Kareno62 your post really made me laugh ! So funny to feel guilty when she was referring to fluids !
Sounds as though you have a fresh canvas for your new garden . I would love that . I can completely loose myself in the garden . Not very big at the back but has a small burn running through it . Soded good at the time then I had kids and had to deck a bit of it . But I still love it and make every space work hard . In the process of making my driveway wider . Another car joining the family an
an elderly neighbour gets upset if the area across the road is not free for him to shoot out from his driveway. Whilst I feel it’s a bit unreasonable he is elderly with health needs and I have been
ised to make allowances!
. So we will soon see how I am at laying those little bricks . Looks a bit like a jigsaw !
Jings you put one smiley face and you get a hidden family !!!
Rehab started today . Popped parents in the car and marched up a country path . I am Sure they loved it . Ha .
Have a good weekend .

Hello everybody! I’ve been off radar well and truly for the last three weeks as I had a very severe reaction to my CAPOX treatment. The infusion was ok, I coped. The pills though, after the first week gave me terrible diarrhoea which just didn’t stop. It ended up having me hospitalised about three weeks ago, not keeping anything in my body. It was a very rare severe reaction. I was tested for a genetic condition which came back negative, but my oncologist has decided that more chemo isn’t worth the risk. At the end of the day, I’ve had the benefit of nearly one quarter of my chemo, I’ve had another CT scan whilst I’ve been in and I’m still cancer free. Frequent blood tests and scans will be enough! Trying to force any more on my body would have not enough benefits. Still in hospital at the moment waiting to be moved gradually onto proper food again after being sustained by a special drip through a pic line. Onwards and upwards! X
Oh no that sounds so rough in deed . It’s definitely a risk/ benefits analysis when it makes you that ill and you don’t want to end up doing some irreversible damage .
Hope your home and recovering now .
You have Spring to look forward to now and full recovery .
The scanning is robust and very thorough .
Take care ,
