Just checking to see if we are all finding our way around the site .
I have been through a few platform changes over the years here and it always takes me time to adjust .

Hope you are all ok and keeping well .

  • I use my phone all the time

  • Great to hear you have had your second vaccine . I found it much easier than the first ! I am sure I must be bumping into people with covid left , right and centre just now as we have just become the worse in Europe ! Who knew ! But the vaccinThumbsupis working so far . I did wonder last week so did a lateral flow test and my son had a PCR test and all was good Thumbsup.

Your cat is an early riser ! It my sons that keep me awake waiting on the key turning in the lock ! Even if I get over I waken to check ! Motherhood !

  • Hi Court and everyone. Another anniversary for me tomorrow! Eight years since my emergency extended right hemicolectomy and all is well. Prostate cancer psa blood test very good too. Covid here is back, about 200 cases daily, but none in the South Island. Yet…. The general opinion is that it’s just a matter of time.
    Stay safe.

    Wombles.

  • Well Hello Wombles.
Lovely to hear from you .
Glad things are going in a good direction for you . That’s great news .

I have stopped checking our stats as we don’t seem too good at stopping the spread . Even in Scotland where we wear mask etc it’s still high . I am due to get a third vaccine next month .
The areas that were largely unaffected throughout the pandemic caught up this summer . I think it must surface in the end . Good job we did not know what was ahead at the start of this .

Other than that it’s been very mild here . Lots of rain but mixed with bright sunny days too. Poured for the delayed arriving for Cop26 . You could not see in front of you .
Are you enjoying some lovely weather ?

Anyway keeping out of trouble and enjoying the small things .

    Take care ,

Anxiety already. Just got my letter for appointment with oncologist.  CT scan and blood counts liver bone cea, to be done before appointment  february next. . Had my stoma operation in April then  4 rounds of chemo, CT scan which showed all clear.
scared already something will show up

  • Oh  it’s a horrible anxiety. But it’s looking really good for you . Remember recurrence stats fall right off after two years . This will not continue for ever .
So many emotions come with scanning but none of them reliable. Once you get a few good scans under your belt you will start to get more confidence in your own health again .

Thank you so much Court.  I so appreciate your answer, it’s difficult to talk about it to people who haven’t gone through this.

  • It’s horrible what people go through . Not east for you at all but I know when a few scans started going in the right direction for my mum we all felt differently and started to see a pathway out of it !

    Better days ahead !
