Just checking to see if we are all finding our way around the site .
I have been through a few platform changes over the years here and it always takes me time to adjust .
Hope you are all ok and keeping well .

So pleased to hear your news . That’s always welcome news . Do you get treatment for diverticulitis?
Sounds a bit of a painful experience pushing through the ileum! Will he be sedated? How on earth would you have managed to go together . Is there not a bit of preparation before !!!
Totally understand your concerns . Really hoping it is all fine and you both get to enjoy some good results .
take care ,

Thank you court, you are such a great support to us all.
They just leave the diverticulitis alone. I am on a low fibre, minced/smooth diet because of recurrent obstruction, due adhesions.
DH will certainly be sedated, sounds horrible! The thought of us having colonoscopies together is a nightmare
How is your mum doing with the threat of more restrictions looming? So difficult for both of you.
Take care
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Hi seaspirit44 hope the diet helps somewhat .
Mum is doing ok . Dropped a few activities in busy places but kept up her walking and seeing family in the garden . Hoping to get her away for a few days. Rented her a separate house by the sea but not too confident it will happen now . We shall see.
Waiting to see how the weekend turns out but I guess more restrictions ahead .
We have a little sunshine here . Hope you do too.

Hi wombles, good to hear from you. Are you still under lessrestrictions in NZ, or are your cases creeping up? We are in national lockdown from Thursday, but not sure if details.
All my investigations have been normal, thank goodness, so am in remission from breast and bowel cancer.
Now my husband has started. Severe diverticular disease on colonoscopy, with a weird looking terminal ileum on CT. he has just had a small bowel MRI. I am worried that he might have a small bowel tumour, which is rare but has a poor prognosis. Could be just an artefact, but here we go waiting again...
Tace care, and stay safe.
Onwards and flatwards (don't do hills) and keep walking if you can!
Hi wombles
Lovely to hear from you. I was only thinking about you the other day.
You must be heading into your summer as we are now in the midst of wind and rain as we run into winter.
We have been told this evening that as from Thursday we are going into another national lockdown until the beginning of December, I forget the exact date. There’s not been much talk on our News lately about how you’re doing in New Zealand - hopefully you have it more under control, as most of Europe moves into another lockdown.
It’s just me and the cat as my husband is now in a care home, which up until now has been covid free and I hope it remains so but his condition has deteriorated over the past months and I miss visiting him. My friend (and neighbour) and I have created a “bubble” and every Saturday we get together for a meal and a bottle or wine. She comes here, as I have more room but we take it in turn doing the cooking. Makes a nice change.
I’ll say night night - as it’s past my bedtime.
Take care,
VickiLynne
Great to hear from you wombles.
We are stumbling along here . Numbers have plateaued here in Scotland but around a 1000 a day ! We have restrictions but somehow we have adjusted . My son went to a drive through movie today . They even have jump leads if you drain your battery.
A whole new way of living . There is a Christmas movie so I think it will be a family event !
take care ,

Hi again. Thanks for your replies and my very best wishes to Seaspirit and VickiLynne and husbands. Great to read your remission news Seaspirit! And Court and Mum still managing? We seem to be doing ok down here. There are imported cases found most days while they are in isolation but new Community cases are rare. Now! There was fear of a new outbreak not long ago but that seems to have been managed. So, life is about normal. I do sanitise my hands often and keep a note of the time when I'm in shops etc. My phone is too old to do the "I was here' thing, or maybe I am too old. Another birthday soon, but I'm not a party person, even though the hundreds who would attend are allowed to now. Lol, as they say.
Yes, warming up here. I don't like it tooooo hot. The surf beach is only 10 minutes walk, but no swimming for me. I'll stand under the garden sprinkler maybe.
All the best as the lockdown begins. I'm sure you will all cope. We had a general election and Labour can keep going, without any help from other parties if they wish.
Hello wombles what brilliant news . You have come through a lot . Well done .
I got some beautiful photos from my cousin in Australia last night . The wildlife was amazing and they have been enjoying being tourist free for a bit . They were so beautiful .
Hope things are continuing well for NZ .
take care ,
