Hi,
I think that sadly it sounds very normal, very unpleasant but not unusual. I.had open surgery but I don’t think I was eating for many days afterwards as I had ileus with both of my ops (bowel stops moving and makes you sick).
I’m not sure what a virtual ward is. However it sounds like you may have access to nursing care and if not you should have your cns team. Give them a call and ask as they’ll know best.
Hope it passes soon!
