My son in law has recently started chemo- 2 cycles done, tablet method. He has had such severe reactions and has been in hospital, they are talking about stopping treatment. What does this mean? Any similar experiences?

  • Hi Saste,

Sorry that you have a loved one with a diagnosis.

There are protocols for preferred treatment plans according to the cancer type.

There are a minority percent that do not take the chemo as well as others. My husband is one too. For mets.

Oncology will have a plan. It may be reduced dose after a break or extending the break between treatments. Make sure that he tells them all the side effects. There are things that can be prescribed to help.

We are on plan B. 2nd time around. 1st time was rough but gave us 13 years.

Do your best to let the two of them live the best lives they can subject to health and the darn hospital appointments.

  • Thank you so much .
