I was placed on watch and wait regime following TNT and clinical complete response. I was due my sigmoidoscopy in July but no letter has arrived. I phoned my CNS who said due to backlog in endoscopy unit it could be another 2 months before I get seen. I have asked the CNS to speak to the Colorectal specialist to confirm he is happy with this situation, because I am not.
Anyone else promised the earth to only be given the bums rush.
Why offer a non surgical regime if they cannot keep to it.
Hi TickN25
I would be so angry with that too and I am not an angry person .
You agreed to it on the bases of regular scans.
I think your consultant might raise this issue on your behalf but if not you might like to contact Pals to advocate for you .
Take care ,

Thanks for your reply.
I have asked for my CNS to contact my consultant asap. But my care at the hospital I feel has been quite substandard for all 3 of my cancers to be honest. So a lovely complaint letter is going in.
I have been suffering from anxiety quite badly since finishing my chemotherapy and being put on watch and wait for the rectal cancer. This just increases it.
