Morning everyone, had my first intravenous chemotherapy session yesterday morning, all went well.

today I’m suffering with very tight calf muscles on both legs, very stiff to walk. Has anyone else noticed this sort of thing? Many thanks for reading.

  • Hi  Yes I remember having exactly that as I hobbled up the stairs but I think it only lasted a day or so? Here’s a post that we put together a few years ago which might help - sometimes it’s good to know what’s normal and what’s not

  • Many thanks for your response, this is all very new to me and is taking some getting used to but I’ll keep on plodding along!!

  • I had this too with chemo,it lasted for three days each round. I ate grapes as they contain resveratrol which is very good for stiff muscles. Grapes really helped me. I also drank raw coconut water for the natural electrolytes  in it. This helped me with hydration.

    Good luck!
