Hello everyone! My husband is due to start capecitabine tablets and daily radiotherapy for 5 weeks and just wondering if anyone can recommend things to have ready such as unperfumed soap/shower gels, own flannels, gloves to deal with bodily fluids…We have the anti-diarrhoea and anti-sickness tablets as well as the skin barrier cream but wondering if anything else might be good to have to hand. I’m probably being a bit overly concerned but would rather be prepared!

Hi. I'm following this. My husband is startingpre op chemo on Wednesday, bowel cancer spread to lungs, and am wondering exactly the same. The anti-sickness pills you mentioned were they off the shelf or prescribed? Naively I assumed the latter.

Keep safe and look after yourself as I am trying to do although it is hard.

Hi there. He was prescribed anti sickness and anti diarrhoea tablets alongside his Capecitabane and given a barrier cream by the radiotherapy nurse.
Look after yourself, one day at a time.
