Hi everyone. Thank you for being such a supportive group. My husband has an ascending colon tumour with suspicious lung mets. This was followed by 4 cycles of CAPOX. We were back to see oncologist who said that the latest scam has showed 2 very small liver lesions which didn’t show up on the scan before his last on. He has been put on a cycle of Folfori chemo. Has anyone else been on this situation? Thank you and take care all
Sorry to hear about your husband . It can happen as the microdisease can stay contained on chemo then grow when chemo stops . But my mum had disease in both organs and they managed it well over the years .
Did he get good control over the lung mets with his last cycle of chemo . There are people who stay on a maintenance dose of chemo and have been doing so for years and years . If you look over on Bowel cancer U.K. forum you will see some people who have been managing life like that and it might give you some helpful insights to see who they cope with it .
Take care and hopefully the next lot of treatment will stabilise the disease. My mum had two years of treatment before gaining stability .
She lived for 15 years in and out of treatment .
Stay strong if you can ,
