Hi,
Recently I have had two positive fit tests (14 and 18) after a two negatives. Cancer is maybe my worst fear and I get myself checked for these things somewhat regularly. The two negatives were maybe a year ago and 6 months. The two positives were within the last few weeks.
I don't have any symptoms, no weight loss, no tiredness. Toilet habits are regular as ever with some soft some hard. As far as I can remember they have always been like this.
Some red blood in stool but i am 99% sure thats caused by a fissure as I can feel it sting when wiping. GP has confirmed the fissure.
My real question is that I am on amlodopine a blood pressure med. I also take a daily aspirin. I am pretty sure I wasn't on any meds when my first two negative tests were done. Has anyone here had experience with these kind of medications giving false positives?
I am being referred though. A positive test it still a positive test.
