Raised liver ALT

The liver can get a bit stressed when on chemo . They do monitor closely and if they feel you a rest they delay a bit . Once results are back within acceptable limits they restart.

My friend has recently gone through chemo and had to delay every single round . But she got there in the end .

Thank you court that’s reassuring. My tumour marker has also gone up but I’ve read there can be a few different reasons for this. Think I just need to get used to this rollercoaster and let the experts do their thing!

My mum’s CEA went up around round four every year . She had it for three years . The first time gave us a fright but it resolved once she was through chemo .

We got used to it .
