Just a update, I finally had my first Meeting with the consultant and colorectal nurse yesterday. After being told 3 weeks ago that i had cancer and would definitely require surgery and a stoma, i was told that the deeper biopsies showed no sign of cancer but it is pre cancerous.I've been booked into have a procedure on the 7th Jan called a Transanal Tumour Resection where they remove the tumour and biopsy again. Has anybody out there had this procedure done and how did it go? They told me there was a small chance of them finding cancer and if so radiotherapy would be the route to go. So a second question would be if anybody has been in the same boat where cancer was found after removal? Thanks Colm.
