positive news after 2.5 year journey

I have some positive news with my 2 1/2 year journey after being dignosed with rectal cancer.  My journey has involved

• 5 weeks chemoradiotherapy in October 2023 to try to shrink the tumour
• 3 visits to Clatterbridge for Papillon treatment ( had good initial results but didnt totally destroy the tumour)
• Surgery in November 2024 to remove rectum and permanent stoma (histology was good)

12 months in from the surgery, my MRI scan looks good and the full colonoscopy is good

I now have another MRI in 12 months time and a follow up colonoscopy in 3 years.
