Well I've got a biopsy of my lungs on Tuesday and I am so scared. I have COPD and I have read on here it's not very nice.
I really don't know what to do, I had surgery on 7th of August to remove the colon cancer which was a success but don't know what to expect.
Hi Remembering

Hi Remembering, I had an EBUS, lung investigation and biopsies taken back in June, I won’t lie not exactly pleasant, tube pushed down your throat whist awake, but it’s doable. A couple of days sore throat and coughing a little blood, because of the biopsies they take, but nothing horrendous. Worst thing for me was waiting for results, that took over three weeks. I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis, a relief as it wasn’t malignant. Wishing you all the best, let me know if you want more detail.
Thinking of you tomorrow. Hope it all goes smoothly and you are safely home before you know it .

Well all that worry being cancelled now until the 25 next week because the CT scanner was broken now got wait had no chemo sense operation so I'm getting really scared now with everything that's going on don't want him to leave it too late if there's anything there so worrying
Hi Remembering
In the early days it’s easy to worry about any delays . However with time I realised that bowel cancer is normally very slow growing and probably been there for a while . Probably years . The waiting is very hard on health in general but just when you think you can’t take any more the system spurts forward and everything lines up .
My mum was a stage 4 patient for 15 years . In and out of various treatments . It took a while to adjust to the processes but we got there . Sometimes up to eight weeks but then when it moved she had only days to prepare for surgery .
It so tough on everyone involved but he will get a good plan in place and good times ahead .
Take care ,
