Hello
I saw the Oncologist on 28th October, where he informed that I would be going to receiving chemotherapy within 3 weeks time. Logistics of the chemo treatment is one day I will receive intravenous oxaliplatin together with supportive drugs, then take oral capecitabine twice a day for 14 days followed by a week off and the cycle repeats. I have now received appointment date of the 16 December to start my treatment which is a six weeks wait instead of the 3 weeks. My question is, is this normal to wait so long for treatment and if in the mean time whats happening to my tumor and all other cancer cells in my body while waiting for treatment. Should I call and enquire or just leave it and wait while worring? Any advice will be appreciated thank you.
