So my husband has completed 25 radio chemotherapy sessions then we had the eight week wait for re scans.
met with surgeon who gave us hope that the tumour had shrunk and could be scar tissue left.
last night however received letter he sent to husbands GP which states residual tumour with central ulceration .
confused and worried so now awaiting an appointment for husband to have biopsies.
anyone else had similar
thank you in advance
Hi BradleyJ It sounds like they suspect that there might be some of the tumour left but will biopsy it to check? I’m afraid there will be more waiting now for the biopsy results. Presumably if it is scar tissue then he’ll be offered watch and wait but if some of the tumour remains then it will be surgery?
Hope you get an appointment through soon
Take care
