I’m in the search of anyone who may have experienced the same. I have had bright red bleeding intermittently after stools maybe ever 2:/3 months since having my second daughter 15m after my first.
I had a negative qFIT in 2023 and another sept 2024 and negative calprotectin 3 times in the last 2 years.
however, I’ve now had two instances (one month apart) of bloody mucus after a loose stool. It’s bright red streaked mucus and has scared the life out of me!!
I have IBS but the mucus blood is new. I’ve had negative qFIT tests so GP isn’t worried but I’m already panicking, any advice?!
I’m 34, have IBS, no symptoms except the bright red blood over the last few years and new times with bloody mucus, always bright red, not much and after a loose stool.
exam Said no obvious gaemeroids so now I’m panicking but dr said he was confident it must be something in Lower bowel and isn’t worried?
should I panic?
