Hi,
My mum has bowel METS in liver and pancreas after being clear for a year - she had several rounds of treatment but 3 month scan revealed that although it hadn’t spread anywhere else it hadn’t shrunk either. They are now changing treatment and said this one should shrink it if not get rid of it - so why wasn’t this one tried first? And should I be concerned that the first treatment didn’t work?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Annabelle_
There are protocols for all chemo therapy lines . It does sound confusing but I wonder if you know your mums cell type ?
Nice guidelines show you all the different protocols. Did he mention if it was immunotherapy by any chance ?
Stabilty is good too though . It’s definitely done something there .
Take care ,
