So, I’m lying in my bed in hospital having had a right hemicolectomy on Tuesday last week. Im told it was successful in so far as they removed all the tumour and affected lymph nodes, so the pain was worth it. I was hooked up to an epidural until Friday, as well as a catheter but these have now been removed and I’m at least not encumbered when I move about.
I’ve managed some short walks around the ward and corridor, a few extra each day as I recover. However, had a shower this morning that has absolutely floored me!!
The standard “have you opened your bowels?” question has made an appearance, but having been prescribed Codeine I’m not confident that will happen any time soon.
Well fingers crossed there’s some movement in a day or two……otherwise I could be here till Christmas
just wanted to post and share really - sending love to all on their journey xxx
