My son has stopped taking tramadol as he was having hallucinations can he take ibuprofen in stead?
Hi Rosie13 Yes as long as he’s not on any medication that says he can’t eg. Blood thinners? I was told I could take paracetamol and ibuprofen alternately but you could check with your local pharmacy to be on the safe side? He may find it eases if he can start getting around a bit as he’ll stiffen up if he’s sat/laid down all day x
****UPDATE****
Actually Rosie13 I’ve just been thinking that he might still be on blood thinning injections from his surgery? I had to give them myself for 4 weeks after discharge and they only gave me paracetamol to take in that time so better to check before having any ibuprofen? x
