Hi
This is my first time posting.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer in July 2024 with spread to my liver and peritoneum. The are 10 metastases spread over all 8 sections of my liver. I have been on chemo for 6 months now and this has reduced for size of all of the metastasises.
My question is to anyone who has experience of having metastases in all sections of their liver – what treatment have you had and how have you responded to it? I would like to have surgery but at present I am still in operable and I’m aware it will be challenging for me to ever be operable.
Many thanks and all good wishes to everyone on this group.
We are in exactly the same position as you. Did anyone reply? We had targeted therapy and we’re now moving onto Oxaliplatin. The targeted therapy didn’t really work for us!
I have mets in all sections of my liver. Still on 1st line folfox and had stable mets on halfway scan. I also have lung mets. Have been told I'm inoperable by my oncologist. I have asked for a referral to a liver surgeon for a second opinion. I feel that if chemo is only keeping things the same, I need more options.
