Just got results from my 6 month scan after my liver resection and it was all clear.
Keep going.
Well done! Good news
Can I ask about your surgery? I am to undergo a hepatectomy next week..... Terrified
Thank you
Hi. I had 2 liver resections. One in April and one in June as I had so many mets they had to do it in 2 parts and remove 75% in total.
With all the pain control it wasn't to bad.
They put a tube in to drain any fluid away for a few days which wasn't painful, just felt uncomfortable
Was short of breath and had a lot of tiredness after the opp.
Had 3 months of chemo after.
Took about 6 weeks to recover fully from the opp.
The actual operation though, even though it sounds really scary it's bearable.
Just think of the end result.
Good luck. You'll be fine.
Thank you for your reply Christopher Blue, can I ask if it was Folfox you got after it?
I had 8 rounds of Folfox before it. Which wasn't very pleasant.
I am hoping this is it but you just never know.
Hi. I had 3 months mop up chemo with oxalplatin infusions and capecitabine tablets .
