Has anyone had to go for these? It was a whole day affair for a half hour infusion. They told everyone to come at 9 am but didn't see to us until 4.30 pm. I have another one on the 12 March and I'm taking a picnic, including wine, to share with whomever the other poor buggers are that are likely to be waiting with me.
On the bright side I met some very nice people and my heart is not thumping madly any more (which I believe is linked to anaemia?)
Hi! Yeah I've had them, I had 3 blood transfusions and 1 iron whilst an inpatient at diagnosis and stop gap stoma op to undergo chemo first, had a 2nd one as an Outpatient I ended up there all day as couldn't get iv in so waited for iv team and then they added magnesium infusion too. I've been told to expect to need another one in next few weeks hopefully won't be a full day affair again
Hi, yes I had 2 infusions! Crazy you were there all day! I was usually in and out in about an hour and a half. I met an amazing 90 year old woman and she cheered me up no end. Turned out we lived in the same town! Hopefully you will feel the full benefit of it soon. I used to get awful palpitations too x
