Hi all. I’m new to the group. I had a FITtest and came back at 400. Other results for , inflammation, IBD, Chrons and virus have come back normal. I got told yesterday and already have a colonoscopy book for next week.

is anyone in the same boat or been through this please. Thank you

Hi Rainey75 I’ve seen readings lower than that that have turned out to be bowel cancer and also levels higher than that that have not been cancer - see below

FIT of 400 – NO cancer detected via colonoscopy!

The main thing is to get checked out. Only 1 in 10 colonoscopies results in a bowel cancer diagnosis as there are other things that can cause blood in the stool like polyps, diverticulitis colitis et .

Its good to hear that you’ve got a date for your colonoscopy already and please let us know how you get on?
