Hi All
I'm really worried. I've been having stomach pain for several months. FIT test is positive at 46mg. I also keep passing quite a lot of mucus after loose stool.
Is 46mg a high result. Really worried it could be cancer.
I'm having a colonoscopy on 17th.
Any advice would be greatly received. Thank you. X
Hi Chuffy No it’s not a high reading - there’s people on here who’ve had readings over 400. If you have a read through the post below you’ll see that there were people (Luke and Samy9) with similar figures and nothing untoward was found
Mucus is normal and your body produces it to ease the evacuation of the stool. There can be many reasons for blood in the stool like polyps, colitis, piles, diverticulitis, crohns but it’s important to have the colonoscopy to get checked out.
Please let us know how you get on?
Take care
