Hi, so I had resection on Thursday, passed wind yesterday and last night had the most painful tingling sensation all over my body. It was so painful, I couldn't sleep and no matter what I tried it wouldn't go away. Eventually was given diazepan and slept. Only to be woken by doc to say they would keep an eye on me. Result was I couldn't get back to sleep and the pain and sensation was terrible and really frightening.
Has anyone else had this and do they know what could be causing it?
Help please as I am scared.
Pain has receded but I am still aware of it in the background.
Hi Teddy007 Your medical team will be the best people to ask but maybe it could be the last effects of the anaesthesia wearing off and your nerves coming back to life? Please talk to the nurses if you’re scared as it may well be normal and they can reassure you
Take care
