Can anyone suggest how my husband can make sleeping more comfortable he can’t lie on his side because of it and founds it hard to sleep on his back his other side has an injury so can’t sleep on that either thanks
Hi Soo7 Can you try folding up a towel and putting that under the arm where the picc line is? Mention it to the nurse at his next session - I felt like mine was digging into my arm a bit and they padded it out with a small piece of padding before taping it all back down which helped x
It was the actual cannula bit that was digging into me so the nurse put something folded up between the cannula and my arm before taping it all back down
Hello. My husband had the same thing. Couldn’t go on his sides at all because of the ileostomy bag and piccline, so had to sleep on his back, which wasn’t his preferred position at all. We padded out the piccline with compresses and surgical tape and held it with a small elasticated bandage. It did help. xx
