My histology report has come back but has elements that I cannot find on any of the explanations of grading.

As well as T and N it also has L, V and R. Does anyone know what these refer to please?

Many thanks

  • Hi  I think the V stands for Extramural vascular invasion and the R for Involvement of Resection margin. The L maybe for lymph nodes. I don’t know the implications of these so you might get a better explanation from the support desk or in the Ask a Nurse section?

  • Thanks Karen. I have contacted my specialist nurse at the hospital to see if they can explain it to me. I'll pop back on with an answer when I get one.
