Hello I was sent for a colonoscopy under a 2WW due to bleeding, change of bowel habit, pain and nausea. A large inflammatory stricture was found quite low down which the camera could not get past. 6 biopsies were taken and I was sent for a CT colonography which has been completed. I then had a CT of my chest. I don’t have any results and haven’t really been given any information. I’m thinking the worst. Is an inflammatory structure likely to be cancer??
Hi Darkmoor88 Not necessarily- it can also be caused by crohns or colitis for example? You could perhaps ring the support desk on the number below and speak to a nurse for more guidance and then maybe see if your doctor has an update on any test results?
Take care
