I have been invited to have a covid vaccine (having 6 months of capox) but I'm worried it will make me feel worse. I'm currently on my weeks break and can get the vaccine this weekend ahead of cycle 6 next week.
I haven't felt great after having covid vaccines in the past. Has anyone gone for the vaccine and how did you feel after?
.
Hi BrenW It might be worth checking with your chemo helpline? Chemo affects your immune system so leaves you open to catching infections but I have heard of people having bad reactions to some of the vaccines. Have you always had the same brand of vaccine? If you’ve always reacted to say Moderna then could you try and get the Pfizer for example? x
I had a modern vaccine last week. It made my arm sore and may have contributed to overall lethargy but didn't make me feel as bad as I had feared... it's a balancing game I guess.
