Hi I'm day 4 of capacitibine and am troubled by excess saliva. My nose is running too..anyone else had this and how did you manage it ?.I've been told by hospital advice yo keep going with tablets but no advice other than that .
Hi Hex I’ve not heard of this but my reply will bump it up the board in case anyones missed it. I’ve done a bit of Googling and there is a suggestion that chemo can affect the balance of bacteria in the mouth which could case the extra saliva? Hopefully it will settle down but mention it again at your next session or ring your helpline if it’s becoming a real problem.
Do you get hayfever? Wondered if that was causing the runny nose - I know a few people who are starting to get symptoms already this year
