Yearly scan

Hi not posted anything for a few months had my ileostomy reversal in October everything going okay managed to fit in 2 holidays since the op ! The next thing on this journey is my yearly scan don’t think I know how I should be feeling, one minute think I am lucky I am receiving this good treatment next minute feeling really scared in case they come across something is this normal  ??

  • Hi, everybody on here will be with you on this one. There is such a word as Scanxiety which sums up how we feel when we have to have the dreaded scan results. I always try to think positive thoughts and think i am being looked after. I have had great scans, good scans and bad ones . I have come to the decision that it is what it is and i can't do a thing about the results, it will be what it is and i for one can't change a thing. All the best
