Hi partner goes in for liver biopsy this morning. We’re both very scared . Praying that his liver isn’t at the point where they can’t give chemo … hope, hope, hope and pray that they can give chemo Googled and I know I shouldn’t have just trying get what’s involved in a liver biopsy. I don’t tell my partner … Is there anyone on here where they have been told that the liver is so bad that the
can’t do chemo? If so have they offered any treatment at all or was it just management of the pain … im so very scared . My partner used to be a heavy drinker and has slowed downed enormously over
e last 12 months and hardly drinks now . We have consultant appt tomorrow but we know as he has already said that they can see the cancer in the liver on the ct scan and that there’s a lot . So we
e hoping there are some segments cancer free …. praying for some positive news from both the biopsy and the dr
Normally the biopsy is to clarify cell type so they can give the right chemo . That’s how advanced treatment is now . Even if the primary cancer is bowel cancer it can have various cell types and they want to get the best response .
Hold on tight . This is full anxiety but it gets better when the treatment plan comes together .
The liver is wonderful at regenerating.
Take care ,
