Hi , I had my first chemo yesterday, and was wondering if any one else experienced once home , and after taking the chemo pills, during the night I had a weird sensation like a bolt of lightning from the top of my head which travelled down my body , then a heavy sweat, it happened about 4- 5 times in the night, the last one not so bad.

  • Hi  No I dont remember having that one if I’m honest although the oxaliplatin can have some very strange effects on your nerve endings with spasms and twitches. Have you got a 24 hour chemo number that you can ring or call the unit just for reassurance?
