Good afternoon,
My husband who was diagnosed with bowel cancer just over two years ago is on this regime permanently, until it stops working or he become too toxic.
He has now been on this treatment since last November and they are at full dosage.
I would like to know if there is anyone else on these treatments that are still in employment? My husband is spending hours of what would be our own time together constantly catching up with work (he fortunately works from home), due to the 3 long hospital appointments every other week which are some distance away. And the people he works for wants him to start training the person below him to do his job, which means more hours! He is self employed by the way. I feel they are just taking complete liberties and even I don’t even know how my husband is managing it all.
Sometimes I despair at peoples attitudes to cancer patients, especially when they say to them I hope you are well!!!
Many thanks
Hi Loomeytunes2001 Gosh your husband sounds like a warrior and his employers seem to have forgotten that he has cancer Please give the support desk a ring as they have people who can advise you on employment rights etc. You could also pop a post on the Ask an Expert board below
Hope your hubby continues to tolerate the chemo well
Take care
Karen x
