Feel right depressed after that

Hi HazG firstly what an absolute tool your surgeon was for talking to you like that! I’d be furious. If your oncologist hasn’t said that, I’d ask to speak to them, or your specialist nurse. I was given 6-12 months without any treatment, and had just a partial response from my “failed” chemo. Turns out one tumour has shrunk and the other has disappeared. I’d pretty much given up until I was told that. I’m not a natural complainer, but that would make me consider talking to PALS. I hope you get some reassurance soon.

That was my thoughts exactly sent me into a right tizzy my oncologist has never said that too me. X

Can you phone and speak to your specialist nurse . That was insensitive and there is no need to speak in such callous tones .

Many oncologist repurpose previous chemos so that’s something to ask about .

I would be absolutely furious too, his flippant remarks  caused you unnecessary stress and anxiety

My husband has an arrogant liver consultant and he’s exactly the same obviously they both went to the same charm school 

if it helps you then PALS is a good option. 
Horrible man.

Hi Court she's on holiday at present.

My oncologist is really good this was my bowel surgeon who made the comments he has such a negative attitude.

I will speak to my oncologist next week about the remark.
