I used to know this but have long since forgotten it ! But it’s all about “half lives “ and metabolic rates that are a bit complex to understand without the relevant degree !
But I have put up a link and it seems to suggest it’s peak points of absorption and how most is eliminated through your urine ! No wonder they tell you to put the lid down and double flush . 
See if you can interpret it !

Found this which is easier to interpret. Apparently through sweat glands  too . But each day less is present which I assume is the half life aspect .
