My aunt had a polyp with suspicious features and she had it removed, she was told that if the polyp has tumour cells that are invading deeper into the bowel, she will need completion surgery or chemoradiotherapy.
What is completion surgery?
Fergus
Hi ,
I have not actually head that been used before . I am just wondering if they feel a complete resection would be best . Techniques can vary depending on the location of the tumour in the bowel . They like to take a good margin to get rid of all cancer cells .
take care ,
