Had microwave ablation to lung met last Thursday. Not feeling great. They were going to do it o t 15 th but doctors strike. Just as well caught Covid just before, it was the first time I have had it.I’ve been going to two hospitals, one for hernia repair and the other for the cancer. They wanted to leave the met Untill after surgery on the hernia but I wasn’t happy with that, they said they could leave it and see if anymore spots appear and they wouldn’t have to readmit me. They have agreed to do my hernia but they have put me back a month to seeing someone from the surgical team I think that’s about a date for op. Just praying it can go aheadI think it is because the doctors from the two hospitals are in contact and I think the ablation takes about a month. to heal. I don’t know if it is because I caught Covid just before the ablation but I feel very weak. I can’t remember if I felt this bad after liver ablation I really ache. On my discharge papers it said it was 12mm so it had grownj they say it was zapped and it was very small. I was luck yo get pre med on the Monday before the ablation, I’ve been havin tests at Charring Cross as well for hernia so they were able to share scans. Hi Court hope your mum is doing well and everyone else. Sending hugs xx
Hi Gemmary, thank you for your reply. Hope you are well. I feel a bit unwell I thought I would be feeling better, it’s nearly a week. My chest wall aches, I don’t know if the treatment was just after getting over Covid that I’m feeling rotten. I think myself and my son-in-law was about the only two of us I know that hadn’t had it, well I only know one now. Take care and sending hugs xx
Hi Nelly1955
Hope you pick up soon but great news your ablation is over now and you can plan the next stage .
Mum is doing well and treatment and starting to get this going in a better direction. She misses dad so much but still trying to engage with life .
Take care ,
